Marina Mahathir
s Marina Mahathir has been active in HIV/AIDS for 16 years, leading the Malaysian AIDS Council for 12 years. Since stepping down she does AIDS advocacy work as a member of the Asia Pacific Leadership Forum on HIV and Development steering committee.

In 2008 she was appointed a member of the International Advisory Board of the Asian University for Women as well as of AIDS2031.
Marina Mahathir was voted United Nations Person of the Year for Malaysia in 2010.
