Gabrielle Walker

Gabrielle Walker is an international expert on climate change, with a deep knowledge of both the corporate energy sector and the political landscape.

She has a PhD from Cambridge University and has taught at both Cambridge and Princeton Universities.

Her bestselling book The Hot Topic,(With the clarity that Gore rightly commends they do a fine job of setting out the issues a material gain for the axis of good. Sunday Times) puts business strategy in its international context for dealing with the energy crisis and climate change. The Hot Topic has been published in more than 20 countries and translated into a dozen languages. Commercially minded, she gives talks and provides strategic advice to corporations and governments on how best to prepare and respond to the implications of climate change.

Gabrielle Walker has worked closely with the UK government on energy strategy and policy. She has worked with the UK Government Chief Scientific Advisor, formerly Sir David King, and latterly with Professor John Beddington, and with a number of departments, including Department for Transport (DfT, Department for Business, Energy and Regulatory Reform (BERR)and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC.

Gabrielle has worked on climate change and its implications for practical business strategy in the energy sector for many companies, including British Energy, BP, Royal Mail, Tesco, KPMG, Tata Sons (India), Financial Security Assurance (New York).
